Styrbar remote

I am trying to sync a Styrbar remote to a Zigbee colour light source but it will not sync. Does anyone know if the Styrbar is actually compatible with Non-ikea light bulbs?

Hi, The STYRBAR (Remote control)  Can only be used with IKEA Smart lighting products.

Thank you for your reply. A little disappointing as the STRBAR packaging carries the ZIGBEE logo so I would therefore expect it to be compatible with any other ZIGBEE products.
