If I'm having trouble sleeping I try some deep breathing exercises, filling my lungs as full as they will go and then expelling all the air slowly and completely. Repeat this three times and it always seems to do the trick.

Turn all screens off and do something relaxing an hour before you intend to go to sleep.

For me, numerous things help me to have a good nights sleep. Firstly, regular exercise means that by bedtime, I am sufficiently tired to drift off easily when I need to. Reading before bed also soothes my mind.
Going to sleep at the same time every night, as well as rising at the same time each morning really helps.
Finally, some products that help me include aromatherapy oils (pictured), blue-light blocking glasses and the Headspace app!

A cool, dark room is a must for me. Fresh bedding and being relaxed helps too.

We stick a talk radio station or podcast on the alexa with a sleep timer for 30mins, not too loud and we soon drop off

Put some lavender oil on your pillow, enjoy a relaxing chamomile tea before bed. And invest in a decent mattress 🙂

My eye mask is my key to a good nights sleep. I find total darkness means I have a much better nights sleep and don't tend to wake up in the early hours like I used to before I got my mask.

I can only get a good nights sleep if the room is freezing cold and there is some form of white noise to drown out the tinnitus

I always have a fan on, its not on me, its just for the white noise, I read before bed and apply a nice facecream to wind me down from the hard day.

Keep your room dark. SCHOTTIS are a good start if your windows aren't too wide.

Get stickers to cover bright LEDs on stuff like TVs

Fresh bedding, fluff up the pillows, keep the door closed and drafts out, use blankets to create extra warmth. And if you're still struggling to sleep, play some 'rain music' or similar white noise 🙂

My tips for excellent Sleepytime:

1. Exercise. Being physically active during the day can help you fall asleep more easily at night

2. Keep it comfortable bedroom. Ideally you want a quiet, dark and comfortable temperature.

3. Destress. Learning some form of the relaxation response can promote good sleep and can also reduce daytime anxiety. To relax, try deep breathing exercises or meditation.

4. No screen time before go to bed. Remove electronic devices, such as TVs, computers, and smart phones, from the bedroom.

5. Good quality and a comfortable pillow, a mattress and a heavy blanket.

We usually like to have the room quite dark and cool and play rain sounds in the background so we can drift away. Using a good Spotify playlist on a timer makes it even easier.

Ensure good ventilation, no electronic devices in the bedroom and keep your feet warm

My tips are to have the bedroom cool and dark. Blackout blinds or curtains are essential.

Take a warm shower and wear cuddly PJs.  I like lavender under my pillow too as it's a soothing smell.

Outside light can make it difficult to get to sleep or can wake me early so a good pair of blackout curtains are great for a restful night.

I need a really dark room to sleep well, so I have blackout blinds on the windows
